Summer in Europe
Europe is always a welcome change from where we live. For us summer goes to very high temperatures. It is absolutely unbearable heat sometimes the temparatures go upto 50degrees C or even higher. You can just imagine the plight of people who have to work outdoors in this heat.
This Summer we decided to do Germany. But we did not just want to do the city we wanted to explore the outdoors and the many thermal spas that germany has. We booked ourselves into a small spa town called Bad Aibling very close to Munich. Yet it gave us the country vibe and the small town feel.
Bad Aibling is a Bavarian spa town in the very south of Germany, not far from the Austrian border and around 56km southeast of Munich. It’s a charming town, home to many idyllic scenes and picturesque architecture. It’s here where the Glonn Creek meets the Mangfall river, which curves lazily through the nearby landscape.
Bad Aibling is a town fiercely dedicated to both its history and to moving forwards. This combination of tradition and cool modernity is best reflected by its main spa, which is the true heart of the place. This spa – and some others in the area – use locally-sourced peat in some treatments. The peat is nutrient-rich and used in the treatment of everything from skin conditions to arthritis.
What To See
The number one attraction in town is the Therme spa. This incredible building, with surprisingly stunning architecture, has a vast range of treatments on offer. Whatever your needs, there is something here for you. The local Kurpark is something to behold, and perfect for whiling away an evening relaxing in nature, Of particular note is the lake, which is a lovely sight.
The landscape of Southern Bavaria is stunning, and particularly around the town of Bad Aibling. If you’d like to see more of it, take a stroll along the river Mangfall. If you head east, you can walk all the way to nearby Rosenheim, with plenty of convenient stops along the way. Don’t worry; there are buses to take you home if you tire yourself out. While we are here we have been enjoying the bavarian country side and beautiful places around it. Going for walks and soaking up the beautiful landscape and natural beauty of Bavaria. Also so many places are close by once you are in Europe and are accessible either by car or train. God has bestowed such beauty to to europe whether its the farms in the country side or the mountains or the rivers. Wherever you look one is amazed at mother nature. You just need to seek your equilibrium in the natural beauty of Bavaria and find your favourite spot that touches your heart. Peace spreads internally and externally and your everyday life fades into the background.
So far we have been to Places around Munich. We went to Garmish-Partenkirchen. Situated one hour south of Munich is where you will find the stunning Partnach gorge. The gorge with its wild waterfalls, water rapids and tranquil water basin will cast its spell on you. The Partnach river, a lusty mountain stream has cut a 262ft crevasse into the pure rock, creating one of the most beautiful gorges in the alpine region.

The stucture is very modern and beautiful. The train takes you into the mountains from where we have to take cable car to a certain point then another cable car that takes you to the top.
